Half Crown Media president Ken Haron has a diverse background of media production over three decades in the U.S., Latin America and Asia. In 1988, Haron was producer of a movie incorporating the first original Spanish language screenplay of Charles Dicken’s “A Christmas Carol.” This “Cancion de Navidad“(1989) feature-length made-for-TV movie earned awards, was broadcast nationwide in the U.S. and was distributed for broadcast internationally in 14 Spanish-speaking countries.
Ken also wrote and directed “Breakthrough: The Story of James O Fraser and the Lisu People” (2008) a docudrama which won a Gold Remi award at the Houston Worldfest. He enjoys good movies, playing guitar and piano and chatting with friends about life “with a capital L.”
Jonathan Lee has thirty years of leadership and management experience in diverse fields. In addition to his new role as Chief Executive Officer of Half Crown Media, he serves as CEO of Evergreen, an organization of professionals working together in China. Jonathan’s past work experience also includes serving as Tax Litigation Counsel for the Commissioner of Revenue, Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a deputy Special Assistant Attorney General, Tax Manager in the Minneapolis office of KPMG’s State and Local Tax Group, and Financial Advisor and Certified Financial Planner in the Minneapolis office of Merrill Lynch’s Wealth Management Group.
In addition, Jonathan has over thirty-years of experience working with numerous non-profit organizations and in various roles. In Minneapolis, he served on the board and chaired both the finance committee and board governance committee for Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, and served on the boards of Community Emergency Services and Bethlehem Urban Initiatives. In Boston, he served on the boards of the Asian-American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Law Reform Institute. He is a graduate of the University of California, Davis and Boston College Law School.
