Behind Half Crown Media’s vision to see a missional discipleship movement through storytelling is the advocate of “one generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts” in Psalm 145:4. To bring the story of Hudson & Maria Taylor to the big screen is to pass on the legacy of God’s faithfulness exhibited through their lives to this and the next generations. As mentioned in our last newsletter, the full impact of the movie can only be realized when the global church and Christian organizations work together in unity.
To commemorate Hudson Taylor’s birthday on May 21, 1832, Half Crown Media, in partnership with an extensive church network in Asia, held two sessions of a virtual vision sharing meeting on May 23rd and 24th. Our project advisors, Dr. Patrick Fung and Rev. James Hudson Taylor IV, and Half Crown Media’s Board Chair, Dr. Jennie Fung, shared with over 1200 church leaders from an Asian country our vision to build a generation of missional disciples on fire for God. The response was overwhelming. Many participants expressed interest to participate in the movie project. In the next issue, we will share the details and highlights of the meeting.
